Log the Twenty-fourth

Harrimast keep and protect me!!
This foul and evil island has turned me against my captain!!

It had all made sense; the captain seeing things that we could not, his near demise at the hands of the jungle cat, his strange behaviour. I was sure that he had been possessed by some foul being and was leading us to our doom. The others agreed with me. How could we have been so wrong?

As night descended we discussed the situation and arrived at the conclusion that the captain was being led astray. We had no choice! We had to restrain him and try to lift his curse. As dawn rose we jumped on him and secured him to a tree. I started to plead my case to Harrimast and Lucky tried to convince Oh-gosh that the captain was no longer the man he started to follow. Oh-gosh must not have agreed with him, for when Harrimast had granted me his blessing, Oh-gosh was asleep on the ground.
As I cast my spells, I was awoken to the realization of what we had done. Harrimast even sent a messenger to me to inform me that it was I and not the captain who was cursed....and that he could do naught to lift the curse.
We apologized to the captain and presented our case to him. Being the merciful captain that he is, he merely slapped us around for a while. Although we shall have to see what becomes of our shares of the treasure next time.

After taking our reprimand, we once again took to the air to scout the island. We were shocked to discover that the Lady's Favour had moved closer to shore and was now unloading cargo. The captain lands on the ship and ordered the crew to retrieve the cargo, at which point they try to attack him. We all make land on the beach and are quickly attacked by a dozen of them damn dirty apes. The poor beasts might know how to talk, but they could damn well use a few lessons in how to fight. We showed kindness and let a few of them run off into the woods.
As we questioned the crew they kept telling us of how they had presented themselves to the queen and that they now only wished to serve her. Apparently serving her means dragging all of my stuff off of the ship and packing it through the jungle to deposit in her lap. The captain had had enough of this and ordered us to bundle the crew back to the boat, along with what meager possessions we still maintained.
As we was making our way down the beach, a great furrow of sand started coming towards us all. Only I maintained the resolve to stand firm, the rest of the crew fled before it...and were shamed when El dongo, our zombie crew man person thing jumped up out of the sand reporting for duty. He had a little story for us. He could only watch as the crew went insane and took to land with the contents of the ship. The orcs that was on board all headed off in the direction of the mythical goblin village and hadn't been heard from since.
The captain took to the skies again while we finished the loading of the cargo. Once done, Lucky tried to use Moab's telescope to locate the green-skins and found them locked in some hut, along with Lucien as well. I don't know who he went looking for afterwards, but he done scream and pass out on the deck really fast. When he come to he pronounced the spyglass as evil and possessed and tossed it overboard. Little Anna managed to retrieve it for us with little trouble.
The captain finally comes back and has a tall tale of his own to tell us. He says that we is all cursed and that we'll be serving the bitch queen black jenny soon if something don't be changing. The goblins have black jenny's hand and is using it to protect them from her influence. Since we was found to be evil, they had removed their protection from us, which is why we is falling under her power. The only way that we can stop this is if they extend their protection again, which they'll only do if we go and topple some obelisks. She has some sort of magic in place that extends the power of her magic hook all over the island. And as if that task was not enough, the obelisks is smack in the middle of the ape city. And if we be too slow, they is going to sacrifice the green-skins to some strange god. Seems that all their magic is powered by blood.

We'll have to see just how well their blood magic protects them when their blood is spilling on the ground.
But for now we'll have to do their bidding, so we makes plans on how to assault the city of the apes and topple Jenny's obelisks of power.

And once again, real life intruded and the game was put on hold for a while.
Halloween for us all and a honeymoon for the Captain meant that we were put on hold for over a month.
Which will just make the smack down of the apes just THAT much more appealing.

Why am I even bothering??? I don' tthink anyone else reads this other than me.
