Log the Twenty-eigth

We could see those damn dirty apes peeking over the edge, trying to figure out where we were and what we were up to. Being the cowardly lot that they are, they decided to summon their queen. And that was all of the encouragement that the captain needed. A blast of fire was sent up to them and the scent of roasted fur came wafting down towards us.
Lucky flew his little birdy self up the crack and attempted to determine the location of the queen, while Kemby leapt to the outcropping and started climbing into the room. The captain and little Anna decided to travel by the more civilized and less strenuous magical way. We appeared in a puff of smoke to the stunned faces of many singed apes. The captain let loose with another ball of fire and there were far less faces looking our way.
Unfortunately, even the mighty captain's magic has a limit and he was unable to slay all of the apes. As Kemby finished his climb up the crevice, the apes surrounded him and pummelled him into a bloody pulp. He slumped to the floor and the apes flung him into the crevice. This gave the captain the room he needed to flash fry the remainder of them. I stood my ground and kept one of the extra big and smelly apes from reaching the captain. And with the help of little Anna and her summoned critters, we laid the brute out. Which gave us the opportunity to see Lucky finish off the guard that was supposed to be summoning the queen.
As the last of the apes hit the floor, we rushed to the crevice to see what had become of Kemby. We had just turned towards the crack, when we saw a bloody hand reach over the edge and haul the rest of Kemby upwards. It seems that the poor bugger had decided to play dead and just caught himself as he fell towards the pool of lava that we had seen far below us.

As we started to catch our breaths, Lucky starts to tell us about the room up ahead, that contains an intricately detailed repose of the island. Each and every tree could be seen and the quality of the craftsmanship was beyond belief. There is also a throne, set to over look the entire diorama.

It was about this time that we noticed that little Anna was missing.

We was about to start looking for her, when we hear her voice, telling us to come to the throne room. Now, it don't seem normal for her, so we load up with a bunch of spells and storm the room.
But it seems that Black Jenny was awaiting us.
As we come into the room, the captain's great shield of invisibility fades away. We see Jenny sitting on her throne, little Anna standing at her side like some cherished servant. The captain must have been staying outside of the room, for I couldn't see him.
Jenny then starts screaming at us, demanding that we tell her where the telescope is. Lucky steps up towards her and tells her that we have a present from Carthy. He takes her in his arms and lays a long kiss upon her. Now, maybe I need to be giving the lad some tips on kissing, for as soon as he broke off, she slashed him across the check with her hook and ordered him to stand in the corner. And the poor fool obeyed!!
This was the time that the captain decided to make himself known. The doors were kicked open and his signature balls of fire exploded around her. When the smoke cleared she was laughing at us and still demanding the telescope.
It seemed that we was in some serious trouble, so I tried the old hidden pig trick. I covered my mace with a sack and presented it to her as the telescope. When she uncovered it, I summoned forth a blessing from Harrimast and laid it upon her. She screamed just as I expected her to. It seems that Carthy was not the only one that had been cursed with the unlife.

And now the battle was joined. The captain threw up a wall of fire to keep the apes at bay, although they seemed to ignore most of it. Kemby and meself moved in towards Jenny. I kept laying the blessings of Harrimast upon her and my smile got bigger with her every scream. Somewhere in this, Lucky opened up his magic bottle of smoke. That bottle filled the whole damn place in seconds. But that kept those apes in close, which was a benefit to us. I could see the unlife on Jenny about to fade when she grabbed part of the wall and crawled away. Then the fists came flying from the smoke and I had to make my way back as well. And then I heard Kemby scream. The smoke parted just enough to allow me to see Jenny wrapped around him, fangs exposed, drinking his blood. Damn vampiric pirate wenches!! But at least that managed to spur little Anna into action. She managed to get to him and breath some life back into him just in time.
Three apes hidden in the smoke and a bloated vampire wench crawling all over us. Kemby barely clinging to life. The light of Harrimast within me was almost extinguished. The fires of the captain being quenched by the water of evil.
We had no choice....I pulled the souls of my companions together and allowed the picture of zaius's hut to form in my mind. We teleported to safety...leaving behind far too much of our flesh and blood.

Now the question stands before us...can we survive long enough to recover our strength and visit our righteous punishment on the evil that is Black Jenny?
