Log the Sixteenth

Well that be the last time that I follow the advice of natives. Wash your hands before you eat indeed!! How could I have been so stupid to believe such a load of squid crap? I suppose those hours hunched over in the bushes will be a reminder to me next time. It seems that I missed the excitement with the giants, but I still arrived in time for some many headed fun. After crawling through the caves I was finally able to meet up with the rest of these pirates. I was none too happy with trying to cross that stream however...me bath wasn't supposed to happen for another 2 months. We continued following the mutants trail. I was expecting that we'd suddenly pop up in Moab's outhouse, but if this be his outhouse then I don't want to know what he be eating.

As we come walking into another large cavern a number of dragon like heads appear before us and let lose with a great blast of fire. Kemby seemed to bear the brunt of it and then went charging in, trailing wisps of smoke behind him. I'll have to find out what his cologne is and see if scuppers can use it as a marinade...it smelt damn tasty!

As we move in closer we can see that we is facing a single beast with many heads. It is the dreaded creature of myth...a Hydra! Lucky and Spacko quickly join Kemby and they all start cutting swaths out of it's hide. Mistress danced across the floor and ended up behind the beast, trying to slap the mouths away from herself. The captain held back, blasting the beast with his magicks and hiding some of us from the beasts eyes. I was getting a bit worried, since I could see the wounds on the beast slowly closing over. But the strength of our steel proved too much for the creature and with a final hiss it toppled to the ground.

As we was searching the cave, we find us a passage that had collapsed at some point. This must have been the path that the mutant escaped out of all those years ago. Not wanting the others to dirty themselves with all the digging that would be required, I summoned up some Harrimast magicks and started digging my way through the tunnel. Wasn't too long before I done break through another wall and find myself looking at the back of a prison door. I'll have to say a few extra prayers for the poor soul who I was standing on, but since the cave in done end his life I won't be worrying too much about it.

We could see a corridor stretching in front of us, lined with other doors. Once Mistress worked her magic touch and the door opened we started checking out the other cells. We found that two of the cells were occupied by 4 prisoners. Two of them start begging us to let them go, so that they can escape the devils that was prodding them every day. The other 2 start screaming that they are the chosen of Moab and that they will pass this test. They must have really started to annoy Lucky, for he let lose with an arrow through the bars and there was one less voice. We done wrestle him to the ground after that. We might be pirates, but that don't me that we be killers. The first 2 prisoners done go running back towards the hydra cavern.

We continue down the corridor and spy us a pair of guards playing cards, oblivious to our presence. Lucky tries for some redemption and starts sneaking into the room. But it seems that we was the one that be tricked this time. Once Lucky enter the room, a set of bars come crashing down in front of us, locking us out of the room. And then other guards come boiling out of the other corridors, surrounding Lucky. Kemby tries to lay some hits through the bars, but the guards be a bit smarter than that. As Lucky was dodging a mighty volley of crossbow bolts, I done move up and continue to play the gopher. The guard had a damn funny expression on his face as I come breaking through the wall in front of him. It done turn to pain as Spacko come charging past me swing that great axe of his. I do a quick backtrack and tunnel my way through the wall on the other side as well. After that it degenerated into an orcish bar fight. There were many a hit laid by each side, but eventually our superior skill come through and we was the last people left standing. Mistress was still fighting some dirty little dwarf thing who kept crying about the mistress's temple. Lucky ended his blubbering damn quick.

Seems that the little bastard was talking about some strange goddess and not our little pin cushion. As I come steppin' into the room where they was fighting, the ground did shudder and groan. Makes me wonder at just what kind of gawds these hooligans is worshiping down here.
