Log the Thirty-second

But Jenny did not make our looting easy. As our exploring continued we discovered a number of locked cells with what can only be described as abominations. I shudder to think that those poor creatures might have once been human. If they were, then we surely killed Jenny too quickly.
We managed to discover a staircase leading deeper into the ground. The sounds of the army of apes crashing through the doors above us gave us the encouragement to proceed deeper into the darkness. Once again Jenny's touch followed us from beyond the grave. A series of traps and dangerous natural obstacles stood before our way. However, with a bit of cunning and magical aid, we were soon standing at the exit of the tunnel. We had emerged behind the great waterfall that poured over the northern face of the island. We followed a set of carved stairs that led us down to the shore, where we were once again greeted with the view of the ship graveyard. Could it be that Jenny had hidden her treasures in the wrecks before us? We would have to await the morning to discover if that was true or not.
As dawn broke, we also broke open the chest that we had taken with us the night before. A glittering sea of gems greeted our eyes. This seemed to inspire the captain, for he ordered us to retake our boat. The Lady had suffered under the touch of the apes for too long.
The apes must have been linked to Jenny in some manner, for the ones that were guarding our boat barely seemed up to lifting weapons when we boarded. The fight, as it were, was barely worth mentioning. The only surprise was that the apes had decided to store a large number of bananas on board. As we were removing the last of the apes from the decks, the crew started to reappear on the shore and were quickly shuttled aboard.
The captain orders us ashore again, into the goblin village, to rescue the rest of our crew. Once there, we discover what we had known all along; Beauman had betrayed the goblins. The goblins report that she has taken a number of the apes as her crew and left the island. We shall have to settle the score with her at a later time.
But, for tonight, at least, we feasted and celebrated our victory!
