Log the Thirty-third
It was a groggy morning when next we awoke. The feast and celebrating had gone on far into the night.
The goblins had confirmed our thoughts; the seabed in the graveyard was littered with treasure. Luckily for us, little Anna and the captain were well versed in transforming into critters of the sea and the search was quickly started.
But, again, that damn bitch Jenny was reaching from beyond the grave. We should have known that she would have not left her treasure unguarded. Our first surprise was when the great turtle sped from the weeds and ripped a piece off of Lucky. This beast would have been a fight in and of itself, but it was soon joined by a squad of water elementals. The battle was confusing and deadly. Lucky failed to live up to his name and soon the waters were stained by his blood. Kemby was quickly sucked into a hole by one of the elementals and was at risk of being spun apart. We managed to destroy some of the elementals, but when we saw that the great dragon turtle was building up a huge breath, it was time for me to pull us back to the safety of one of the wrecks. The captain could not let such an attack go unanswered and quickly leapt back into the waters. The turtle and Bonny traded blasts of fire and only the captain emerged from beneath the waters.
As he was making his way back to us, the last of the water elementals attempted to drag him back under. But, my appeal to Harrimast was answer and I managed to bind the creature to my will. With it's help, gathering the treasure from the seabed was little effort.
One more artifact was in our possession. A water elemental had been added to the crew. We had a giant turtle shell that would become a new hull for the Lady. And, we had a lifetime's worth of accumulated treasure.
Now all we had to do was find Beauman and repay her for all her kindness. That would be an encounter to look forward to. Perhaps we would meet her when we set foot upon the island marked with the pistol.
Soon, all of the secrets of the Full Fathom Five would be ours!!
[group breaks from Freeport to try our hand at Warhammer Fantasy. See other blog for those exploits.]
